The disc of H42 vertical check valve slides along the vertical center line of the valve body. When pressure is applied at the inlet end, it overcomes the spring resistance to open the valve. When the inlet pressure is lower than the outlet pressure, the spring pushes the core toward the valve seat to close the valve, preventing medium backflow and realizing the non-return function.
When installed vertically, the vertical check valve can be designed without a spring, relying on the self-weight of the disc and the pressure of return fluid to prevent reverse flow.
